This Thursday, we will have two quarter-final matches. One is Complexity vs. Virtus.pro, and the second is MOUZ vs. G2. These matches won't be the first time all these teams meet, and some will have extra motivation to get their revenge at another tournament here. Here, you can find the match schedule, overview, and our predictions for both matches based on our experience and different team factors.

    Complexity vs. Virtus.pro

    Complexity vs. Virtus.pro - Quarter-final - ESL Pro League 19

These two teams met last time when two different players were playing for the VP, and back then, the VP won that game with a 2-1 score. Now, it's a different VP with two new players and some extra experience. Complexity also had one player change since then; it was 'FaNg', and 'EliGe' was the one who took his place in this team. Can they repeat the success of their previous roster, or is it Complexity to come on top this time? We will see.

Outsiders (Virtus.Pro) vs. Complexity - IEM Katowice 2023

    Current Team and Players Form

    Complexity

They have not lost a single game since the Group Stage; more importantly, they won a game against Natus Vincere, the world's best team. Complexity is improving with every game, and the fact that they didn't change any players seems to help them achieve consistency.

    Virtus.pro

Since adding 'electroNic' to their roster, they've been doing much better than before. They seem to be getting their consistency back, one of the main advantages that Virtus.pro was known for some time ago. 'electroNic' is one of the best CIS players, and his experience might get this team to a new level.

    Match Prediction

Even though VP is doing better with their updated roster, they might still need to make that consistent. Complexity is a hungry team that has been grinding it with the same roster for a longer time, and after their game against Natus Vincere, they're ready to give their all to put their hands on the ESL Pro League 19 trophy. Considering everything said above and Complexity is underdogs by the odds, it's much better to risk taking their win. We expect Complexity to win this game.

    MOUZ vs. G2

    MOUZ vs. G2 - Quarter-final - ESL Pro League 19

These two teams recently met two times on the big stages. One was the biggest tournament this year, the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, and G2 won that game with a 2-0 score. After that, they met at IEM Chengdu in 2024, and MOUZ was able to take their revenge and won with a 2-1 score. Is this time going to be different, or was one loss for MOUZ enough to understand how to play against G2? We will see it. This match is going to be lit to watch!

    MOUZ vs. G2 - IEM Chengdu 2024

    Current Team and Players Form

    MOUZ

Not so long ago, what was young blood is now much more than just young players. They're more experienced and keep winning against much more experienced teams, showing their progress from game to game. For the past eight matches, the only team they lost to was FaZe, a top-two team in the world. The good side of MOUZ is that there is good chemistry between all the young players, and it doesn't seem like they depend on one player to shine and win their matches.

    G2

They've been inconsistent for a long time, and it's too early to call them a consistent team. They sometimes depend too much on their star players' m0NESY' and 'NiKo'; if they don't bring their A-Game, it might not be enough to win against strong teams. Sometimes, only one of their stars is shining while the other can't find his game. In the last game, both 'm0NESY' and 'NiKo' had insane-level performance against 3DMAX, but 3DMAX is not as strong as MOUZ.

    Match Prediction

Considering all the factors, like MOUZ getting better and better and G2 not being that consistent yet, together with their last heads-up match, which MOUZ won, we expect this one to go their way. On top of that, MOUZ are underdogs in this match by the odds, so it's more logical to risk it on them. We expect MOUZ to win this match.

We will return tomorrow with our predictions for two more quarter-finals which is going to be Astralis vs. Liquid and Vitality vs. FaZe, so stay tuned!
