League of Legends Currencies
Various currencies in League of Legends can be used to purchase different cosmetics in different parts of the League of Legends client. Most currencies can be earned by completing challenges and playing the game, while Riot Points must be purchased with real money.

Riot Points (RP) The most known currency, as well as the one used to buy anything almost anything available in the game store. Comes in packs to buy from 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100$. $ 50
Blue Essence Most common and primary currency in the game. It is gotten from champion shards, events and playing games and is used to buy champions and more items when essence emporium is active.
Orange Essence Currency that is exclusively used to unlock cosmetics (such as skins and skin wards). It can only be gotten by selling skin shards, ward skin shards or getting them dropped from chests or events.
Event Tokens This type of currency is only available when an event is active and is exclusive to that event. It can be gotten by completing event missions and buying the event pass or some event bundles. The rewards that can be bouhgt with them range from a prestige skin to prestige points, chromas, orbs and even blue essence and keys.
Gemstones Probably the most unique currency in the game, as players can only buy three of them directly and, in order to do that, they need a lot of blue essence (which is gotten by levelling up). They can also drop in chests and be bought in a few event bundles, but it's quite rare. They are exclusively used for hextech crafting unique skins (worth 10 gemstones), Wards (5 gemstones) and not-so-unique masterwork chest and key (worth 1 gemstone).
Prestige Points Unique currency used to unlock prestige skins; llimited-edtition cosmetics that are meant to be difficult to obtain
Influence Point (IP) Influence Points (IP), were one of two currencies used in League of Legends prior to being replaced by Blue Essence BE Blue Essence in V7.22.
